Getting Started

Today we started on our genius hour projects.  Some students are finished and others will finish tomorrow.

Genius Hour

Today we picked our transportation, drew a design of the transportation and decided what materials were needed to make it.  On Monday, the children will gather their materials and start building.

Guest Speaker

Colin's dad, Mr. Eckhoff, came and spoke about engineering, patents and creating projects to kick off our transportation project with the recycle materials.

Writer's Workshop

We celebrated the end of "how to" writing unit by reading our books to children from Mrs. Cooksey's and Mrs. Mais' classes.  Some children traveled to those classes to read their books. These friends played host and hostess in our class and read their books.
