3rd Grade Buddies

Mrs. Joy's class is our buddy class.  Today we met our buddy and made a poster about ourselves.  We will be getting together several times throughout the year.

Today we meet our counselor.  She is another helper at our school.

Reader's Workshop

Today we started reader's workshop.  We went on a word hunt around the school.  We talked about how we use our eyes to look, use our brain to think and read.  The class did a great job reading words like boys, girls, library and cafeteria in our school.  As you are driving in the car, encourage your child to read signs like Mc Donald's, Target or Toys R Us are just a few samples.  Here are two friends reading words in our classroom.

Habit #3

We have learned the first three habits.  #1-Be Proactive, #2 Begin with the End in Mind and #3 Put First Things First.  Here are two friends sharing the work they do first and the play they can do when they are finished working.
