What a beautiful weekend we had.  Many children in the class did something outside in the pretty weather!

Star Leader of the Week and Rascal

On Thursday, the star leader brings a book to share.  Today our star leader read the book to the class.  She did a great job reading!

Rascal visited some cool places and brought back some great pictures.  He even went on a very fast train from London to Paris through a channel tunnel.

Our Song

We have started our opinion writing unit in writer' workshop.  We are tying the make the world a better place.

Avid Readers

The children are avidly reading.  When they are feeling something about the story or the character is having a feeling, the children write a feeling word or make a face that matches the feeling.  The children were really thinking about what they were reading today!

Journal Writing

The children are doing really well writing sentences in their journals starting with a capital letter and ending with a period, question mark or exclamation point.

Liam's grandma read to us today.  We loved the book!
