Pretend Sleepover

The children are enjoying sharing their books and stuffed animals with a buddy for our pretend sleepover.

We had a little longer free choice time, since it was too cold to go outside.

Snow People

Today we made snow boys and snow girls for Winter.  Next week, we will write a how to make a snow boy/girl book.  Writing the book will begin the third unit of writer's workshop which is writing how to books.  Maybe we can make snow people in our yards on Sunday :)

Hat Day

Our class raised over $82 for Concord families who lost so much in the recent flooding.  Thank you!  Check out the cute hats.

Read the Room

We practice a new literacy station today.  It will be a new choice at book nook.  The children really enjoyed finding words to read around our classroom.

New Year's Resolutions

We discussed what a resolution is and each child wrote one.  Some were pretty funny :)  Here are two friends sharing their hard work.
