Writer's Workshop

We started writer's workshop today.  The children picked a topic they are an expert in and write and/or draw as much as they know about the topic.  Most children will work more on their piece tomorrow and others will start a new piece.  Ask your child about what he/she did in writer's workshop.

Letter H

Each day we read a letter poem.  We find the letter of the day in the poem and other words we know.  Here is a friend sharing his reading talents.  Ask your child to name a word that begins with H.

Habit # 5

Habit #5 is "Seek first to understand, then to be understood".  We learned we have to listen first before we do and/or talk.  Here are two friends sharing how to listen and who they are listening to in their 7 Habits book.  Ask your child who they drew and were listening to in their book.
