We found L in our poem and our message.  We drew lines on the L in a pattern and brainstormed lots of L words.

Today we shared what we did over the weekend.  The children drew a picture of one thing they did over the weekend.  Then they wrote about what they did.

Color Fun

Today we mixed colors using Cool Whip and food coloring.  We learned red and blue make purple, yellow and red make orange, and red and blue make purple.  We also learned songs for each color throughout the week.  Here are a few friends singing the red song.

Fun with Letter I

Today the children colored their I today with an ice-pop.  Then they got to eat it.  Yum!  Here are two friend reading the I poem.  Enjoy!

Being Proactive

We have been talking about what it means to be proactive.  The children drew a picture of themselves being proactive.  Then they told me their idea and I wrote it on the paper.  Here are a few of the great ideas the children came up with.

Today we talked about what we did over the weekend.  The children drew a picture about one thing.  We wrote the words "I like" together.  Then the children used their sound spelling to write the rest of the sentence.  Children also labeled parts of their pictures using their sound spelling.
