Journal Writing

Today we talked about what we did over the weekend.  The children drew a picture about one thing.  We wrote the words "I like" together.  Then the children used their sound spelling to write the rest of the sentence.  Children also labeled parts of their pictures using their sound spelling.

Sorting by Color or Shape

In math, we practiced how we could sort by color or by shape.  At center time, Jacquelyn was practicing what she learned with the animals.

Having a Plan

We talked in Science about having a plan first before doing something.  The children drew a plan of what they would build if they had blocks.  Here are a few plans.

Letter E

Here are the kids reading the E poem.  We read the poem three times using funny voices like a robot voice or a papa bear voice.  Enjoy!

Meeting our 3rd Grade Buddies

The kindergartners met their 3rd grade buddies.  They made a poster about their favorite food, color, sport and what the want to do when they grow up.

Manners at School

We have been talking and practicing good manners at school.  The children enjoyed reading the Manners poem by Helen Moore after calendar each day.
