We worked in partners to make our how to books better.

Playing School in Book Nook

The children have turned our book nook into a classroom.  The children have been playing teacher.  Today we have two teachers.  Other times we have a teacher and students.

Bonus Snap Words

If your child knew 35 or more snap words, there are blue bonus snap words to work on this week.  If your child knew less than 35 yellow snap words, practice the yellow snap words your child is having trouble reading.  I will test those children on Friday to see if they are ready to start bonus words next week.  The yellow words are the most important to know.  Some children might not do bonus snap words this year and that is okay.

Mystery Reader

Gina's mom read a cute book called "Peanutbutter and Cupcake."  Ask your child who Peanutbutter found as his first friend.

Happy 100th Day of School

We shared our great posters and shirts.  We made a 100 Fruit Loop necklace.  We made a class book about what we would buy if we had $100.  We did 100 exercises.  It was a busy day!

Addition Game

The children got to pick a partner and play this addition game. 

Buddy Activity

The children made a plan and worked together with their buddy to create a house for a paper polar bear.
