We worked with partner to act out and write subtractions stories/problems.

D is for Dance Party

We danced to some Kids Bop songs.  We also did the "Chicken Dance" and "The Hokey Pokey".
It was a fun time.

C is for Chalk

The rain stayed away and we had fun with chalk!

Happy Earth Day!

We read books and talked about how we can help our planet.  We also planted marigold seeds today.  Here are some of our friends planting.

Egg Hunt

The children had a blast finding the eggs.  Unfortunately, the hunt was in the lobby due to the weather.  The kids were so fast I couldn't get great pictures :)  They did well sorting and graphing the coins they found!

How To Books

The children are working really hard on "how to" books.  Most children have finished one book and are starting a new one!

Lego Table

We have brought back the Lego table into our literacy station.  The children will have a chance to make something with Legos, draw a blue print, and write what they made.  Check out these creations!

Fairy Tales

Last week week we read fairly tales.  Two fairy tales we read were "Teeny Tiny" and "Three Little Kittens".  We finished the pictures today.  These will be class books.

Mystery Reader

Major's mom read "Pete the Cat, Rocking in my School Shoes" and "Dragon Loves Tacos".  Both books were so much fun!

Ability Awareness

We listened to Holly Conner speak.  She is visually impaired and can play the harmonica, the ukulele and the piano.  She can sing and dance too.  We listened to Mrs. Hunter, from PS Kids, share all kinds of tools she uses for children who need help with speaking, fine motor and gross motor skills.  We shared what makes us special and colored a picture.

Pet Stories

We finished our writing about our pets or the pets we would like to have.  This will become a class book.
