Patterns, Patterns Everywhere

Apple Taste Testing and Reading
We tried Red Delicious, Golden Delicious and Granny Smith apples. Each child told the class his/her favorite. We practiced touch reading our sentence, making sure what we say matches the word we are pointing to.

Snap Word Game
Here is how to play the game "Snap" with the snap words. You can also play hangman with the snap words. If your child can read the snap words easily, you have have your child spell the words or write the snap words in sentences.

Popcorn Party and Mystery Reader
We had an exciting afternoon. We used our sense of hearing, then smelling, next seeing, then touching and finally tasting the popcorn. We made a book to remember the senses we used when we popped popcorn.
Mason's mom came to read the book "A Good Day for a Hat." The bear owned a lot of hats! You can ask your child which hat was his/ her favorite.

Mystery Reader
Max's grandma read "5 Little Monkeys Sitting in a Tree". It was a fun book. Ask your child if the monkeys will tease the crocodile ever again. She read today so she could travel safely tomorrow back home to Orlando.
