The New Playground
The new parts of the big playground are finished and open for business. The children enjoyed playing with the new items. Here are two friends sharing what parts they like on the new playground.

We will have a special guest, 5th grader Miles Hoffmann from the C-PLAY team, to lead us in our ribbon cutting celebration.

5 Little Pumpkins
Today we learned the chant 5 Little Pumpkins. Then the children made their own 5 little pumpkins sitting on the gate. You will see them when you come to conferences later this month.

ABC Celebration
Today we made a cover for alphabet book, found lost letters in our room, sorted Alpha-Bits cereal, shared our favorite letter in our alphabet book, went on a letter hunt in our classroom and listened to fun alphabet stories. Your child can keep his/her alphabet book at home. I hope your child enjoys sharing/reading the alphabet book.

Applesauce. Yummy!
The children helped make some yummy applesauce. Thank you to Jonah's mom, Dominic's mom, Sarah's mom and Marin's mom for helping us to make applesauce.
Here is the recipe if you would like to make it at home.
4 apples, washed and sliced into pieces.
A blender.
Put half the apples pieces in the blinder and mix.
Then add some water and continue mixing.
Mix until it is well blended.
Put a little cinnamon and sugar on the top.
Enjoy
