Applesauce Fun

We love apples!
Today we tasted three kinds of apples. We tasted Red Delicious, Golden Delicious and Granny Smith apples. The children had to pick their favorite kind of apple. We will be making a class book at the end of the week about our favorite kind of apple.

Best Buses Popsicles
The children enjoyed popsicles from Dr. Stryjewski. The school earned them for showing great behavior on the buses for three days in a row. We know not everyone rides the bus, but we didn't want to leave anyone out. Here is the class enjoying them and saying "thanks".

Letter O

Learning about Habit #2
Today we learning about habit 2, begin with the end in mind. We learned that means to have a plan. We talked about having a plan for center time. The children drew a picture of what center they were going to go to. Then they labeled their picture.

Color Fun
Today we mixed colors using Cool Whip and food coloring. We learned red and blue make purple, yellow and red make orange, and red and blue make purple. We also learned songs for each color throughout the week. Here are a few friends singing the red song.

Being Proactive

Journal Writing
Today we talked about what we did over the weekend. The children drew a picture about one thing. We wrote the words "I like" together. Then the children used their sound spelling to write the rest of the sentence. Children also labeled parts of their pictures using their sound spelling.
